Ray was an amazing true gent. At work he always knew how to make people smile. As an amazing role model my Wife and I had deputised him as our kids God Father. He will always be in our thoughts.

Ray was a keen cricketer in his youth.
We use to play for hours in the nets
with Robin.
In his teens he took up golf and got a job at Blackmoor golf club near Bordon as a young pro.
Slazenger sponsored him with clubs jerseys, gloves etc.
Unfortunately the money could not sustain his ambitions, but still remained a very good golfer in later life.

Ray was the fifth out of nine brothers and sisters. Six boys and three girls. It was a busy household with children always on the go and something always happening. As youngsters we lived in Germany and then Malta, finally returning to the UK. Ray was ‘one up from me’ and so we spent quite a lot of time together as young children, less so as we grew older. I remember long summers playing happily in the garden, building dens in the woods and playing hide and seek and swimming in the sea. Happy Days Ray ❤️
